offers many opportunities for the big game fly fisherman. From June
to September large numbers of juvenile Black Marlin and Sailfish
congregate inside the Barrier Reef between Cairns and Townsville.
These fish offer anglers the best opportunity for landing Marlin
on fly in the world. The action can be red hot with up to 20 shots
a day. The Diamond Girl crew are all experienced saltwater fly fishermen and have caught many billfish on fly. In addition we are one of the few boats equipped with a full selection of fly rods and reels, flies, custom gaffs etc. Our achievements in this field include 2 IGFA world records, back to back wins in the International Black Marlin Fly Tournament, worlds only triple fly slam and the most marlin on fly in a day(5). In addition Kim has himself been champion angler at the Penn international Sailfish Fly Tournament in Broome. |

June to September - Juvenile Black Marlin and Sailfish off Cairns in June to September and Cape Bowling Green in September September to December - Medium to as large as you can imagine Black Marlin outside the reef between Cairns and Lizard Island.
